With the work that I do, I have to go and find a software solutions, basically, any kind of solutions, for my clients. And what that entails is me using that software for a particular amount of time to make sure that I'm happy with how they work, how they function and whether it would work for any of my clients.

That basically gets filed, in my system, but at the back of my head. So whenever a client asks me for a particular, they have a particular problem. I have a file where I go to, to try to find the right solution. A lot of it is in my head, but it is actually written down.

The problem with that is for me, not for anyone else, because I'm the one actually doing the research, is that I tend to use this... software as well for my own business.

And I've kind of honed it down to exactly what my business needs. So it's perfect. But there are times where the saying goes, "the grass is greener on the other side". So. You know, there are 1,001 to-do managers project management systems and email service providers, etc. etc. And we often... or I often use all of the systems and cherry pick the bits that I need because no single software is perfect.

They've all got really good things, but they've all got crap things as well. And we've got to choose the perfect one for the system that we need. So what you've got to understand is that the grass actually isn't greener on the other side, you're just going from one set of issues with the software and the service that you don't like into another piece of software.

Because the marketing is great and they're pulling you in, but you'll find that that software, that you're jumping to also has problems for you now, problems for, for me and for you and for the next person, that's slightly different because we have a specific way of working, but nevertheless, there is, and there will be problems.

So. Yeah. What's the message of today's video? The grass isn't greener on the other side, it just isn't no matter how hard you look, you're never going to find an app, a service, software, whatever it is, that does a hundred percent of what you need to do.

There is a saying; "marry the..." was it... "Marry, the person that annoys you the least" is kind of the same with software and things like that.

Anyway, have a great day and I'll see you in the next one.

Ciao.
